Duties
- Coordinate catering orders from initial inquiry through delivery, ensuring accurate pricing and timely execution
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, upsell additional services, and build lasting relationships
- Manage automobile transportation logistics, including route planning, heavy lifting safety practices, and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Oversee the loading, unloading, and safe handling of catering equipment and supplies using proper lifting techniques
- Drive commercial trucks or vehicles as needed for route driving and client deliveries while maintaining a clean driving record
- Maintain merchandising standards at retail stores or event sites to ensure presentation aligns with brand expectations
- Organize schedules, route driving plans, and inventory management to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail store environments or event catering with strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, upselling techniques, and sales fundamentals to maximize revenue opportunities
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent for route driving and automobile transportation roles
- Familiarity with DOT regulations governing commercial truck driving and safe lifting practices for heavy loads
- Basic math skills for calculating costs, measurements, and quantities accurately
- Excellent communication skills to engage clients effectively and coordinate with team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Organizational skills to manage multiple routes, schedules, and client needs efficiently
- Experience in military logistics or transportation is a plus but not required
