What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook/Prep Cook position at Nancy's Marshview Cafe?
Great opportunity for someone who is passionate about food service. We are a family run business who has been serving the seacoast area for the past 17 years. We have a year round flow of dedicated customers who enjoy our fresh breakfast, lunch, pastry and beverage options. We pride ourselves on our fresh foods, unique menu items and our fast and friendly service. Our kitchen is busy every day prepping fresh ingredients and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is well experienced in kitchens. Breakfast experience is required as well as your ServSafe certification.
Duties will include:
- working on the line to quickly push out tickets
- prepping the kitchen for service daily
- unpacking deliveries and ensuring the kitchen is well organized
- cleaning and deep cleaning the kitchen daily
- collaborating with co workers to create new specials
- working and communicating as a team to keep the kitchen running efficiently
- demonstrating food safety knowledge by ensuring proper temperatures and sanitization
We are looking for someone to work Wednesday through Sunday with shifts starting as early as 5:30 and ending as late as 2:30. The restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays and also takes a week vacation in April and October. We are looking for someone who will fit right in with our small team of very hard working individuals. Pay rate may be adjusted over time if we find your experience is worth more money. Pay: $23.00 per hour
