Nana’s Little Lighthouse is looking for a dependable, outgoing, and confident childcare teacher to join our small daycare family.
We are looking for someone who is not afraid to take charge, use a strong classroom voice, and help manage a group of up to 10 children in a calm, safe, and loving way. This position is best for someone who is energetic, responsible, patient, and able to lead children through daily routines, activities, meals, outdoor play, and nap time.
Responsibilities
The childcare teacher will help with:
Supervising children at all timesLeading classroom routines and transitionsHelping children follow rules and expectationsCreating a safe, clean, and positive environmentAssisting with meals, snacks, diapering, potty breaks, and cleaningSupporting age-appropriate play and learning activitiesCommunicating professionally with the owner, staff, and parentsStepping up and taking charge when needed
Requirements
Must be CPR and First Aid certifiedMust have experience working with childrenMust be dependable and on timeMust be outgoing, confident, and able to lead a groupMust be comfortable supervising up to 10 childrenMust be patient, loving, and firm when neededMust be able to pass any required background checksMust be willing to follow all daycare policies and Tennessee childcare rules

The right person for this job is someone who loves children but also understands that children need structure, boundaries, and consistency. We need someone who can be sweet and nurturing, but also confident enough to redirect behavior, keep children safe, and manage a busy daycare environment.
Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
