Duties
- Prepare and assemble menu items following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate various kitchen equipment such as knives, ovens, and fryers, safely and efficiently.
- Assist with food production tasks including food handling, cooking, frying, baking, and meal preparation to meet high-volume demands.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitizing procedures and food handling protocols to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients accurately and efficiently while managing time effectively during busy service periods.
- Follow recipe adherence closely to ensure consistency across all dishes served.
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the restaurant by performing regular sanitizing procedures and maintaining organized workstations.
Skills
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as catering or restaurant kitchen positions with a focus on food safety management.
- Strong culinary skills including knife techniques, grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking methods.
- Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Experience with high-volume food production environments requiring quick turnaround times.
