Overview
The Junior Construction Manager assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects under the supervision of a Senior Construction Manager or Project Manager. Responsibilities
- Assisting with Project Planning :
- Support the development of detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Assist in reviewing project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work.
- Site Supervision :
- Monitor daily construction activities to ensure they align with project plans and schedules.
- Assist in overseeing subcontractors and laborers to ensure work is performed according to standards.
- Quality Control :
- Help implement quality assurance processes to ensure construction work meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor workmanship and materials under the guidance of senior staff.
- Safety Management :
- Assist in enforcing safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support the conduct of safety training and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Scheduling and Coordination :
- Help develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that all activities are completed on time.
- Assist in coordinating with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Documentation and Reporting :
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection reports.
- Prepare and present regular updates on project status to senior management.
- Cost Control and Budget Management :
- Assist in tracking project costs and managing budgets.
- Help identify cost-saving opportunities and support contract negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Communication :
- Maintain regular communication with project team members and stakeholders.
- Help address any issues or concerns that arise during the construction process.
- Problem Solving :
- Identify potential issues and work with senior staff to develop solutions.
- Assist in implementing corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Procurement and Logistics :
- Support the procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
- Help manage the logistics of getting materials to the site and ensuring they are stored properly.
