Job Description
TITLE: QC Office Assistant
REPORTS TO: QC Manager
DEPARTMENT: Quality Control
Cost Center: 6520
Grade: Hourly
I. Positions reporting directly to this position: None
II. Position Objective: Perform administrative and clerical tasks to support daily office operations.
III. Qualifications: High School education or GED certification. Must be able to read write and speak in the English language. Must have good computer skills and be well versed in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have good typing skills (high speed and accuracy), effective organization and time management skills.
IV. Training: Training will be provided as necessary in order to maintain the assigned areas of responsibility.
V. Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Task and Duties
1. File and maintain quality records (hard copies and digital records)
2. File and maintain retain samples.
3. Input data for test report in preparation for review and distribution.
4. Control and distribution of ISO documentation
5. To maintain procedures and work instruction manuals issued throughout the plant.
6. File and maintain the review and approval records for ISO documentation.
7. Proofread documents prior to issue.
8. To prepare and update the shipping hold and release reports.
9. Process in-house rejects and maintains the reject database.
10. To track all orders on Hold to ensure they are processed in a timely manner to help prevent delays in shipment.
11. Monitor and order office supplies as needed.
B. Machinery, Tools, Electronic Devices
1. Computers are used on a daily basis.
2. Calculators are used on a daily basis.
3. Telephone used on a daily basis.
4. Copying machine used on a daily basis.
5. Laminator used on as needed basis.
6. Label maker used on as needed basis.
C. Physical Acitivities
1. Climbing, ascending stairs and ramps using the feet, legs, body and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
2. Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
3. Stooping and crouching, bending the body downward and forward by bending at the spine or waist.
4. Pulling and pushing using upper extremities to exert force to move objects.
5. Standing in a sustained position for extended periods of time.
6. Walking and moving about on foot to accomplish task, particularly for long distances.
7. Lifting or raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally form position to position. Degree of lifting: 1 - 50 lb.
8. Fingering, picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand arm as in handling.
9. Grasping and applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
10. Talking and expressing or exchanging ideas and information by means of spoken word. Via face to face or by telephone.
11. Hearing, perceiving the nature of sounds with less than a 40 dB loss @ 500 Hz to 2000 Hz with or without correction. Ability to receive verbal communication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustment to machined parts.
12. Repetitive motion and substantial movements of the wrist, hands and fingers.
D. Visual Activity required
1. Machine operation, inspection, and close assembly, clerical and administrative duties.
2. Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth and perception.
VI. Work Environment Conditions
1. Inside environment conditions, protected from weather conditions not necessarily temperature conditions.
VII. Authority and Decision Making
1. Works directly under the Quality Control Manager and is controlled by company policies and procedures.
