Job Summary The Workflow and Training Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient clinical workflow processes and delivering high-quality education programs for hospice staff. This role combines operational oversight with staff development, supporting compliance, quality improvement, and excellence in patient care. The manager will lead orientation, training initiatives, and workflow audits while collaborating with clinical leadership to maintain regulatory standards and optimize organizational performance. Key Responsibilities Workflow Management & Quality Oversight Monitor and manage clinical workflow tasks to ensure timely review, editing, and completion within the electronic health record system (HCHB). Review and approve admission documentation, plans of care, physician orders, certifications, and recertifications for accuracy and compliance. Conduct chart audits, OASIS reviews, and quarterly record reviews; identify trends and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with clinical managers to address data integrity issues and ensure adherence to federal, state, and organizational standards. Lead and participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities, including data analysis, committee facilitation, and performance improvement projects. Education & Training Design, implement, and evaluate orientation and ongoing education programs for hospice staff. Develop curricula, in-service training, and competency assessments for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Provide coaching and mentorship to staff and preceptors; foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Educate staff on new equipment, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements. Support community education initiatives and collaborate with marketing for outreach programs. Leadership & Collaboration Assist in screening and interviewing new employees; contribute to onboarding and retention strategies. Serve as a resource for clinical staff, offering guidance on workflow processes and patient care standards. Communicate regularly with leadership and staff regarding QAPI progress, training outcomes, and workflow improvements. Promote compliance with organizational policies, ethical standards, and applicable regulations. Required Qualifications Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Minimum of two years’ experience in hospice or home health care, with supervisory or leadership experience. Strong knowledge of clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and quality improvement methodologies. Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills; ability to present effectively to groups. Proficiency in electronic health record systems and workflow management. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; current CPR certification. Preferred Qualifications Experience in QAPI program leadership and performance improvement projects.
