Responsibilities

• Stock shelves, produce sections, and backroom inventory with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring products are well-organized and accessible.
• Manage inventory levels through regular stock checks, inventory control procedures, and accurate record-keeping using retail math principles.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, provide excellent customer service, and support retail sales initiatives.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment by performing routine cleaning duties and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Process shipments by shipping & receiving goods accurately while adhering to proper packaging and labeling protocols.
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays, restocking items, and ensuring the produce section is fresh and appealing.
• Handle cashiering duties including scanning items with an RF scanner, processing transactions accurately, and managing cash register operations.
• Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth store operations including stocking, maintenance, and customer support.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations including produce handling, merchandising standards, shipping & receiving processes, and retail math.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards; physical stamina is essential.
• Attention to detail for inventory management tasks like stock counts and control procedures.
• Good organizational skills to prioritize tasks such as stocking shelves, cleaning work areas, and maintaining store appearance.
