Role Description
We are seeking a Manager of Product Development and Project Management for an on-site, full-time role at our Clearwater, FL location. In this role, you will oversee product development processes from ideation to launch, conduct market research, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage timelines, budgets, and project deliverables. You will collaborate with the R&D team to ensure products meet customer needs and align with our brand values while working closely with sales and marketing to support product performance and market penetration.

Participate in/Organize

· Partner with Founder and Marketing to drive innovation across all product categories, focusing on key brand positioning, target consumer, and market intelligence
Project Management
· New product briefing to suppliers / arranging calls, answering questions, arranging samples
· Day to day management and communication with suppliers; end-to-end relationship management
· Manage new product development, from ideation to production
· Monitor development timelines, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful scaling from concept to final production
· Collaborate with designers to develop concept artwork for new product ideas creative concepts (boxes, bags, etc)
· Review and present PPS submissions for sign off/approval
· Ideate, concept, brief product artwork / arrange for edits / get signoff and submit
· Request samples as needed for testing, marketing needs, BAs, on-air, etc.
· Manage internal product charter process:
· Create product brief charter
· Review w/founder for edits/sign off
· Share w/ Marketing for edits/suggestions/sign off
· Weekly PD status update – review timelines, add approved formula numbers
Additional Responsibilities
Product Dossiers
· Create product dossiers (inspiration, brief, charter, pitch/brainstorm, ingredients, chemist notes, retail-specific claims, competitive, etc) for each launch product.
· Present product story and innovation to brand team to develop cross-functional understanding and awareness of upcoming launches
Regulatory
· Regular communication with regulatory consultant and agencies to keep up on latest developments and requirements.
· Manage artwork development process, partnering with regulatory, creative, and marketing to finalize
· Send final artwork, ILs, supplier EIN number to regulatory for MoCRA as new products are created
· Submit for registration in required countries, partnering with appropriate regulatory consultants and responsible parties
Clinical testing
· Establish min. 1-year plan of all items requiring clinical testing
· Lead competitive claims analysis and build out consumer perception claims questionnaire. Create protocol based on competitive research ideal claims, present to Liz for approval (anywhere from 3-12 months out from launch depending on formula approvals)
· Send protocol to testing laboratory for quote/approval
· Send quote for review/approval internally update established testing document
· Arrange and manage samples process between suppliers and testing agencies
Other
· Liase with Marketing on timelines, product needs, external needs, etc as it pertains to product launches and development
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Product Management and Research and Development (R&D) to oversee product lifecycle and innovative formulation processes.
- Strong Analytical Skills and experience in conducting Market Research to identify trends and guide product strategy.
- Understanding of Sales and Marketing to align product performance with customer needs and market demand.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and projects efficiently.
- Strong, proven project management skill particular to the PD process
- Problem-solver,
- Experience in the beauty, wellness, or skincare industry is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Product Development, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven track record of managing product development projects, meeting deadlines, and delivering results.
