Glad you ask. In a nutshell, we’re all about making the world of wine a better place. We fund and source directly from independent winemakers to bring customers better quality wine for a better price. No thirsty middlemen as far as the eye can see.

It’s a different way of doing things, sure. But it works. We’re currently the largest online direct-to-consumer winery in the USA, shipping over 1 million(!) packs a year to curious wine lovers. And with an ambitious road ahead, we’ve got no plans on plugging the cork on growth.

Your purpose?

As the Head of Warehousing & Secondary Logistics, you will lead our UK and USA fulfilment and distribution strategy, ensuring our wine moves seamlessly through a complex network of third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses and delivery partners. Providing Naked Wines' customers with a flawless experience.

This role requires a strong understanding of regulatory environments in the UK and USA, from health and safety to government certifications and excise. You will be responsible for a budget exceeding $40m, encompassing both CAPEX and variable OPEX.

A combination of automated and manual pick-and-pack warehousing, continuous improvement, strong relationship management, and keen market trend analysis will be key to the success of the role.

As a key leader within our operations team, you will bridge the gap between wine production and the final customer, owning the end-to-end journey of our wine from the warehouse floor to the customer's front door.

Warehousing Excellence: Drive strategic direction for fulfilment centres through automation, labor force optimisation, and predictive volatility mapping.

Capacity & Inventory: Manage pick capacity, product levelling (volume vs. mix), and rigorous inventory controls to maximise pallet capacity.

Secondary Logistics: Lead a sustainable delivery network, managing partnerships with a focus on market variables, fuel indices, and carrier performance.

Compliance & Safety: Navigate international trade, UK and US labor laws, health & safety regulations and alcohol excise duties.

Financial Stewardship: Own end-to-end relationships with 3PLs, leading complex negotiations and annual price reviews.

Leadership: Manage direct reports executing day-to-day operations and act as a key stakeholder across Sales, Finance, and Wine Production.

Education: BS in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.

Experience: Proven track record in a senior leadership role managing large-scale 3PLs is essential.

Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Google Workspaces/MS Office; experience with Looker and 'big data' translation is a plus.

Methodology: Strong background in continuous improvement and warehouse ergonomics.

Travel: Willingness to travel internationally (UK/US/AU) approximately 2–4 times per year as necessary

A short case study to demonstrate you using your operations and leadership skills in real time. We want to see how you approach certain scenarios—nothing tricky, just a chance to show your approach.

• Compensation: $160- $170,000
• Annual Bonus
• Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance – 90% employee coverage, 60% dependent coverage. Eligible from day 1.
• Holiday allowance – 34 days of paid time off, including 20 days of accrued paid time off (PTO) and 12 paid company holidays. Paid time off also includes your Birthday, plus one additional day for volunteer efforts.
