Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards and food safety protocols
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cashiering and basic math calculations is essential
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking across multiple tables or stations
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is highly desirable
- Basic understanding of food preparation, food industry operations, and upselling techniques
