- Operate the competition platform, including duties such as managing tournament brackets,
- supervising game day activities, resolving competition-related disputes
- Serve as the lead for NACE Live Competition Support through driving agile & effective resolution of live competition disputes and empowering tournament admins to make accurate rulings
- Encourage user participation in leagues, tournaments, and other gaming-related events and sharing all relevant gaming-related initiatives and content with users
- Establish, improve, and maintain positive membership relationships
- Collect, collate, and share membership feedback and associated data
- Coordinate game day production logistics, which includes coaches meetings, student-athlete experiences, streaming, awards, etc.
- Collaborate with event partners to ensure a successful experience
- Serve as the lead for NACE Competition Communications, including the development, and
- distribution of competition information (ie, schedule, logistics, platform, streaming)
- Train and manage tournament admin staff
- Other competition department responsibilities as assigned
- Assist with general membership needs
Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent, helpful, and timely customer service
- A strong passion for esports, the esports community and video games
- Previous experience working in the scholastic, collegiate, or professional esports is
- preferred
- At least a year of online league/leagues management and/or esports competition is preferred ? A broad understanding of the various rulesets and structures that are typical to the esports industry ? Professional experience with competitive gaming, ladders, and tournaments
- Organized, detail-oriented, and driven to consistently meet project deadlines
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Understands resource limitations and is able to communicate challenges
- Self-motivated and able to multitask effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Google Workplace, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Discord, Twitch, and online competitive platforms
- Ability to travel for events as needed.
