Northwell Health Urology Is Seeking a Physician Leader For The Position Of Chief, Urology At Peconic Bay Medical Center In Riverhead, NY. Responsibilities And Tasks Of The Role Include:
- Working with the chair on all matters related to clinical operations
- Ensure high quality patient care through development and standardization of care processes and protocols
- Continue to develop a culture of scholarship in quality improvement, health equity and outcomes
- Ensure the productivity of physician faculty and support staff
- Maintain and improve upon the excellence within the department
- MD Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine
- Completion of residency and fellowship with Board Certification or eligibility
- Current for NYS License
- Outstanding communication and management skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with medical staff, hospital management, and staff
- Previous division, department, or program leadership
Northwell Health's Arthur Smith Institute for Urology has seen tremendous growth over the past five years within Long Island, New York City, and Westchester; with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated health care and wellness services. Our physicians have vast experience in minimally invasive procedures to treat all urologic diseases including those affecting the bladder, kidneys, male genitalia, and prostate. In an effort to make the transition as smooth as possible, you will have partners who have a wealth of experience in all the specialty areas of urology.

We have residencies and an extensive network of physician extenders. Moreover, you will have access to the expertise of largest health system in the New York Metropolitan area. The mission of the Department is to advance the frontiers of urologic care. Our urologic physicians, who are also faculty of the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell are instrumental in providing excellent quality care as well as developing novel education programs.
