Reports To : Maintenance Supervisor FLSA Status : Non-exempt
Pay Band : 2 Wage Range : $23.71-$35.57
Shift : 12HR Night, 7PM-7AM Shift Differential : 12HR Night : $2.00
Job Summary :
An Electrical Technician will maintenance, modify, repair, and improve existing electronic products, machinery, equipment and controls throughout the facility and grounds and will assist in developing new or updated electronic systems, components or products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Repairs, installs and inspects electronics, electronic systems, machines, and equipment as directed through verbal or written instructions, diagrams, drawings or specifications.
- Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments to the organization's electronic systems.
- Determines material or replacement needs and logical method for repair; takes appropriate action to meet those needs and makes repairs.
- Ability to do electronic board repair.
- Ability to accurately specific, source and acquire automation equipment.
- Ability to weld, solder and braze.
- Demonstrated ability to automate processes.
- Ensures local, state and national electrical codes are followed and proper materials are used throughout electrical systems.
- Manages and installs cables and wiring, splicing as needed.
- Creates or adapts parts as needed to make repairs and improve the performance of various electronics within the machinery or equipment.
- Reports potentially dangerous electrical equipment / machinery to supervisor and takes steps to resolve the issue.
- Instruct employees regarding safe working procedures and requirements when working with electronic components and equipment.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks to maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Continue education as required for role, must complete and pass electrical skills test.
- Follow all Nahan safety and quality standards.
- Work assigned shifts, including weekends and overtime, as required.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills and Abilities Required :
Knowledge and experience with PLCs, programmable and computerized controllers, variable frequency drives (VFD), DC power supplies, AC and DC Electronic motors, cable plants, house wiring, three phase AC and power control.

This job operates in a Manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job inside the manufacturing facility, the employee is frequently exposed to normal to moderate working conditions for a manufacturing facility with a noise level that is usually moderate to loud. The role routinely uses printing equipment and machines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee may be required to stand for long periods of time as well as use hands or fingers to reach or handle, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will regularly lift 70lbs or more at a time. All vision abilities are required to encompass close-up work. Employees must be able to tolerate and endure extended seasonal hours and maintain alertness to meet deadlines.
Occasionally while performing duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to machinery and moving parts, airborne particles including paper dust and hazardous materials or fumes, which may require the use of PPE. The employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, extended seasonal hours, high precarious places, and confined spaces. The nose level in some of the work environments may require the use of hearing protection.
