Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our law firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law, including but not limited to workers' compensation and litigation. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft legal documents effectively. As an Associate Attorney, you will work collaboratively with senior attorneys and partners to contribute to a wide range of legal matters while providing exceptional service to our clients.
Duties
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and discovery in workers' compensation law.
- Assist in litigation processes by preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Engage in negotiations on behalf of clients to reach favorable settlements or outcomes.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation within the law office environment.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their legal needs and provide tailored advice.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong knowledge of various areas of law including litigation, workers' compensation, and personal injury law.
- Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies and tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Prior experience in a legal administrative role is preferred but not required.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
