Position Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: Nafsi South Shore, South Shore Cultural Center, Chicago, IL
Reports To: Owner / General Manager
Job Summary:
Nafsi South Shore is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a strong background in restaurant management, and the ability to ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of food quality, service, and overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
- Ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor and control food and labor costs to maximize profitability.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage restaurant staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Address staff performance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment with restaurant goals.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times, addressing customer complaints and resolving issues promptly.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor and respond to customer feedback, both in-person and online.
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and forecasts.
- Analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement cost control measures and optimize resource allocation.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Develop and execute marketing plans to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Plan and coordinate special events, promotions, and community outreach activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and maintain a strong online presence.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing successful restaurant operations.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
