Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Director of Evaluation & Selection within Wharton Graduate Admissions, the Senior Associate Director of Admissions role is a full member of the MBA Admissions committee and as such participates in all aspects of the MBA Admissions process, including prospective student recruitment, extensive marketing and group presentations to audiences virtually, domestically and internationally, evaluation and selection of applications and admitted student yield. All members of the MBA Admissions committee also support elements of the EMBA Admissions process on a limited basis.
- In addition to core admissions committee responsibilities, the Senior Associate Director will serve the Evaluation & Selection team by managing key elements of the selection committee process, including annual and round-specific planning. Wharton Graduate Admissions recently saw its largest application volume in 25 years, and the Senior Associate Director is a key player in ensuring current and evolving trends in talent evaluation are at the center of our evaluation and selection processes. The Senior Associate Director will also be responsible with liaising with Wharton's integrated programs, including the Lauder Institute, Health Care Management, and Carey JD/MBA, to successfully evaluate, select, and enroll target class sizes for these special/joint programs.
- As a specialty, the Associate Director role will be responsible with the management and leadership of 55 MBA student fellows to assist in the management of a myriad of on campus activities including our Campus Visit Program, Team-Based Discussion (TBD) interview days, and all additional on campus programming that employs current students.
- A Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree, and 5-7 years of admissions or related experience with strong interpersonal, project and people management, and presentation skills, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required.
- The ideal candidate will have outstanding written and oral communication skills, reading/evaluation ability, and the ability to work as a high level contributor, collaborator, and self-starter.
- Willingness to travel (both domestically and internationally), keep non-traditional hours, and work in teams in the context of an innovative and entrepreneurial environment are critical to success in this position.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
