Role Description
NAFA-UNPAM is seeking a Bilingual Administrative Assistant (English/Spanish) for a part-time contract role located in Sebring, Florida. This position is ideal for an aspiring professional seeking experience in the legal, educational, or nonprofit field.
The Administrative Assistant will support daily operations by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including managing communications, maintaining organized records, scheduling appointments, and assisting executive leadership. This role also involves handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence while helping ensure the efficient day-to-day functioning of the organization.
In addition, the Administrative Assistant will support outreach efforts related to membership, enrollment, and community engagement. Because this role involves frequent communication with foreign attorneys and professionals, strong professionalism and excellent bilingual communication skills are essential.
Candidates must be fluent in both English and Spanish, as Spanish will be used regularly in daily operations.
This is a part-time position, generally requiring approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a tentative schedule such as 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Punctuality, preparedness, professionalism, and ethical conduct are required at all times. Training will be provided.
Salary
The position starts at $15.00 / hour. After the first 90 days, employees may be considered for a pay increase of up to $20.00 per hour based on performance, punctuality, professionalism, and ability to meet the needs of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in administrative assistance and clerical support, including scheduling, recordkeeping, and document organization
- Strong phone etiquette and professional communication skills
- Ability to handle inquiries with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
- Experience supporting leadership or senior staff with discretion and reliability
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with standard office software and communication tools
- Ability to work professionally with diverse populations, including international professionals
- Familiarity with legal, educational, or international professional organizations is a plus
- Associate degree in business administration or a related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in the legal or educational field is preferred, but not required
