Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all nursing operations at our skilled nursing and post-acute facility. The DON will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care, clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing department.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive patient care programs.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Manage departmental budget, resources, and staffing levels efficiently.
- Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless interdisciplinary care.
Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, with at least 2 years as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing or post-acute setting.
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care and post-acute services.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse nursing team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
