POSITION: Full Time and Part-Time, Starting at $18.00/hr, Warehouse Incentive Opportunity
SUMMARY:
This position works from order sheets to build loads for transport, bulk and/or route trucks, using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy on what is loaded onto outgoing trucks.
SCHEDULE:
- Monday-Friday, 30 min lunch
- Flexibility for up to 12 hour work day.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transport truck loading: Moving full pallets of product from the warehouse onto a trailer
- Conventional truck loading: Selecting designated packages and flavors of product from the warehouse, then loading them into the bays of a route truck which the salesperson selected for that particular product/package.
- Work safely and apply all safety requirements as defined by management personnel
- Organize and clean work area
- Unload returned product and pallets/plastic flats
- Ensures cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
- Loads and unloads delivery vehicles.
- Accepts delivery of inventory.
- Counts and confirms inventory.
- Inspects inventory for damage and faults.
- Communicate errors to relevant parties.
- Stores inventory in an accessible manner.
- Loads and wraps stock on pallets.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certificates, licenses and registrations:
- Forklift Certification preferred; not required.
- Computer skills:
- Database Software (ADP)
- Electronic Mail Software (Outlook)
- Inventory software
- Other skills preferred:
- Work experience as a general laborer, preferably in a warehouse.
- Ability to operate a forklift proficiently.
- Completion of background investigation and drug screening.
- Strong people skills.
- Good moral character.
- Physically strong, agile and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
- Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
- Available to work extended hours.
