We are seeking an experienced Skilled Construction Laborer who can contribute immediately and support multiple trades on active job sites.
Position Summary
The Skilled Laborer will perform advanced construction tasks and assist lead carpenters and project managers with framing, finishing, and general construction work. This role requires hands-on experience, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform framing, drywall, trim, and general carpentry work
- Assist with concrete work, demolition, and site preparation
- Operate power tools and small equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and follow blueprints and project plans
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Ensure work meets quality standards and building codes
- Follow OSHA and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- 3 years of construction experience
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Experience in remodeling and new construction
- Concrete forming and finishing experience
- Basic plumbing or electrical knowledge
- Equipment operation experience (skid steer, forklift, etc.)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
