What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance (Outside) Sales Representative position at NAC Mechanical Services?
The ideal candidate will prospect and generate new commercial business as well as perform cold-calls in the field to generate new permanent sales. This candidate should be able to support existing clients and have an ability to conduct product demonstrations.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new commercial clients through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and referrals
- Conduct on-site evaluations of HVAC systems to assess customer needs
- Develop and present customized maintenance agreements tailored to client goals and budgets
- Negotiate and close maintenance contracts with commercial customers
- Build strong, long-term relationships with property managers, facility directors, and business owners
- Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline records within CRM systems
- Collaborate closely with service, operations, and dispatch teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
- Monitor market conditions and competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
Qualifications
- Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proven ability to generate leads, develop opportunities, and close deals
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline
- Experience with CRM systems and sales tracking tools
- HVAC or related industry experience preferred but not required
