Key Responsibilities
Assemble High Voltage Power Distribution Rack & Panel Assembly: Installation & routing of wire harness and sub-assemblies of using common hand tools, torque drivers, torque wrenches, strippers, crimpers and specialized tooling and equipment. Technicians verify compliance with mfg. requirements using common inspection methods and specialized testing equipment to validate electrical and cooling systems’ function.
- Technicians must follow established procedures and work instructions to complete work in an efficient and timely manner while maintaining safe practices and high quality.
- Positions and aligns subassemblies following assembly instruction sheet or drawings.
- Equipment Operation: Set up and operate wire-specific machines and tools for assembly.
- Installs/routes control harness, power harness, power connectors, fasteners on a structural assembly for installation of parts and components, using jigs, templates, torque wrench, torque driver and other hand tools per drawings and work instructions
- Install parts and components to build full assemblies and detail parts
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance as appropriate
- Utilizes mics, calipers, and other gauges to interpret and record part measurements per customer specifications accurately
- Visually assesses parts for missing or incomplete operations
- Documentation and Compliance: Complies with applicable manufacturing processes, work procedures, and supervisor instructions in compliance with AS9100 standards, safety protocols, and company procedures, including ESD (electrostatic discharge) precautions.
- Follows directions consistently and accepts responsibility for actions and work product.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Electrical Understanding: Basic knowledge of electricity, circuits, and electrical safety.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, drawing, and schematics.
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in handling small components, crimping, stripping, and precise wire
placement application of torque using manual torque wrench or torque drivers.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot assembly issues and perform minor rework or adjustments.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
Experience
- Vocational training in a technical/mechanical field is preferred
- Six (6) months of experience in mechanical assembly or a similar production/manufacturing role is preferred
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel and perform repetitive tasks.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing or production environment
- Standard business hours, Monday - Friday 6:00-14:30
- Overtime as required
- Occasional Saturday may be required if needed to meet customer demand
Safety and quality compliance are emphasized, including proper handling of electrical components and adherence to company and industry standards.
Other:
- Employees may be required to be cross trained in other assembly operations to support the Mfg. operations.
- Perform other tasks as needed by direction of management.
Pay: Up to $29.00 per hour
