Responsibilities
- Make visual/measured inspection/tests of materials/products to ensure conformance with standards and determines if product meets all requirements
- Complete inspection records and reports and follows appropriate codes and regulations
- Make visual and measured inspection of products to ensure conformance with standards and determines if product meets all requirements for manufacturing
- May inspect incoming raw materials for the manufacturing process and follow appropriate procedures for testing raw materials
- 1 year of related barge manufacturing Fit or Weld experience preferred
- Computer skills and basic understanding of MS Office Products
- Proficient in the use of inspection tools and measuring equipment
- Understand and apply inspection methods and techniques
- Previous experience with coating techniques and/or inspection preferred
- Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment is beneficial
- Previous experience in Fab Shop process is a plus
