Summary:
Healthcare superintendent has full responsibility for the onsite production of the project. This responsibility includes directing craftsmen and subcontractors, providing quality control, assuring conformity to plans and specifications, maintaining sequences to meet schedule, maintaining short, and long-term production schedules, conducting weekly job site coordination, safety meetings, utilizing scheduling equipment furnished by Nabholz, and administering job site safety program.
Typical Duties:
- Supervise crew leaders and/or craft activities - includes determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule, and documenting actual hours worked.
- Coordinate assigned work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors.
- Maintain liaison with Owner, Engineers, project manager, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
- Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work sequences, etc.) as required.
- Maintain communications with Human Resource and/or Production departments to resolve disputes, requisition manpower, safety issues, or visits, etc., as necessary.
- Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements, document, and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
- Maintain liaison with subcontractors and other departments to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities, and project schedule.
- Develop project plans, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with implementing change management and supervisory processes across all construction related issues within projects.
- Regular reporting on the status of Project, Sub-contractor, and Contractor performance, resources, safety, environmental schedule, and backup support within projects.
- Supervising contracts for the purpose of contract compliance, regulatory, and engineering standards, provisions, stipulations, quantities, and quality.
- Daily reporting of all projects on safety, progress, environmental, schedule, delivery of materials issues, accommodation, transport, labor, and all resources affecting the works.
- Providing technical and informative assistance to the General Superintendent and Project Manager regarding construction activities.
- Review project program and /or drawings for the purpose of resolving issues such as constructability, field conditions, and design.
- Prepare justification for purchase order requisitions—review and process invoices for payment where necessary—generate change order requisitions for unseen construction issues.
- Establish and maintain effective communications with other site Superintendents, project inspectors, consultants, and contractors.
- The Superintendent may be required to carry out such other instructions, directions, and duties as the company may from time to time.
- This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes.
- This position requires driving a personal vehicle on behalf of the company or a company vehicle; therefore, the applicant must successfully complete a motor vehicle records check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, and immediately self-report convictions/violations/tickets to the DOT Compliance Specialist as per Company Policy. Any negative change in the status of the employee’s driving record may result in the revocation of the employee’s privilege to drive for the company.

Qualifications:
- Experience supervising healthcare projects of $25M .
- Willing to travel within a 6-hour radius.
- 10 years minimum experience.
- A four-year degree in construction management or a related field, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience. Experience in construction methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures required.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, ability to control, and supervise large groups are essential.
- A good communicator (open, direct, and honest).
- Team player and ability to foster team relationships.
- Ability to think outside the box.
- Key solution provider.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to continuously sit, stand, or walk.
- Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds often and up to 100 occasionally.
- Ability to work in heat, cold, work outside, and work in high elevations.
Work Environment:
- Office, job site, job trailer, or field office.
