POSITION SUMMARY
The Relationship Development Manager drives NAAIA’s growth through the cultivation, acquisition, and stewardship of corporate partnerships and sponsorships that fuel our mission and programs. This role is both a strategic relationship manager and revenue driver, aligning partner investments with NAAIA’s strategic priorities, including national events, educational programming, and thought leadership. Success is measured by revenue growth, renewal rates, and partner satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create a development strategy focused on identifying and securing new relationships to expand annual sponsorship revenue by $200,000 to $350,000.
- Build and manage a comprehensive pipeline of prospective sponsors.
- Design tailored sponsorship proposals that align with sponsor goals and NAAIA’s strategy and mission.
- Collaborate with the executive leadership team to secure multi-year and signature-level commitments.
- Ensure fulfillment of sponsorship deliverables, coordinating with Programs, Marketing/Comms, and Finance.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor benchmarks to keep offerings competitive.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and monthly revenue reporting.
- Track KPIs including booked revenue, renewals, partner engagement, and satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5–7 years experience in sponsorship sales, corporate partnerships, or business development.
- Proven success securing and managing $400K in annual sponsorship revenue.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; executive presence.
- Relationship-driven, strategic thinker, results-oriented, mission-aligned.
- Team player with ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with nonprofit, association, or DEI-centered organizations preferred.
COMPENSATION
The base salary for this position is $40,000. There is a tiered incentive plan paid quarterly based on collected sponsorship revenue.
All NAAIA staff observe federal holidays and a two-week winter break.
With strong performance, this role may evolve into Director or Senior Director, Relationship Development, and a full time role with benefits.
