As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented Front Desk Receptionist to help with our new free standing imaging centers.
Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for providing a consistently high level of service and satisfaction to patients, referring physicians, visitors and internal customers. The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, cheerfully greeting and registering patients along with performing other duties as assigned. This position assures that services are administered using professional standards with a strong focus on customer service excellence. The Front Desk Receptionist should be self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, insurances and new procedures as they evolve. The Front Desk Receptionist will support the needs of the center.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and checking in patients that are scheduled for imaging services.
- Ensures pre-certification/verification has been obtained on all exams with patient’s insurance company.
- Processes payments for co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance.
- Verifies physician order for procedure, diagnosis and exam specifics matches the exam the facility is performing.
- Thoroughly reviews all patient history forms, checklists and consent forms to ensure completion prior to sending back with team members.
- Support office administration and coordination, ensuring all front office activities run smoothly.
- Proactively recommends improvements to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.
- Participates in ongoing training and development to stay adept with the latest in healthcare protocols.
Qualifications
- Ability to understand the needs of the guests and respond to them in a proactive, courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
- Able to multitask and perform various job responsibilities simultaneously in a high paced environment.
- Dependable, self-motivated and adaptable to varying work environments.
- Minimum- high school graduate
- Medical terminology and office background preferred
- Imaging Center experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour
