What are the responsibilities and job description for the Per Diem Educational Consultant position at n2y?
We are seeking Central and West Coast candidates who have flexible availability, want to work part-time, and have a passion for helping educators transform their instructional practices using Unique Learning System, Polaris, Positivity and Inspire. Educational Consultants deliver exceptional onsite professional learning experiences, interface with school and district based leadership, and engage attendees in virtual workshops. As an Educational Consultant, you are responsible for planning, delivering, and preparing professional learning experiences and job embedded coaching using research-based instructional strategies supported by our solutions and messaging that resonate with educators. Consultants may be seasonal or full year:
- Full Year - Availability to travel to scheduled engagements with a one week notice throughout the year.
- Seasonal - Availability to travel from mid May to end of August with a one week notice, and can deliver remote webinar sessions the remainder of the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging professional learning experiences using adult learning theory principles to provide deep instructional knowledge and solution application to support customer implementation and adoption of n2y solutions, measured by post delivery utilization metrics.
- Analyze customer data to determine effectiveness, needs, and improvements to professional learning and coaching experiences.
- Stay up to date on the latest research, asset updates, and product updates.
- Work with clients to plan their professional learning sessions. Evaluate client needs and recommend agendas and at times, develop custom agendas.
- Amazing customer service and comfort when working with school and district based leaders.
- Passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism.
Success Measures as an Educational Consultant:
- Consistently achieve participant CSAT survey scores of 90% or higher.
- Ability to inspire educators to embed n2y solutions into their instructional practices.
- Client utilization increases as a result of the professional learning experiences you provide.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, preferably with Special Education or Speech Language Pathology experience.
- Requires previous experience delivering professional development, coaching, or leadership roles in the special education field.
- Proficient using G-Suite.
- Excellent presentation, communication and organization skills.
- Proactive and can independently prepare resources and deliver sessions with little oversight.
- Internally motivated to support teachers and guided by the belief that all students can learn.
- Passionate about and able to travel on a regular basis.
