AI Application Engineer

N2N is seeking a AI Application Engineer who will work alongside system engineers and business analysts to integrate systems for N2N's growing list of partners and clients using N2N's Illuminate Platform. Their job duties include creating and maintaining APIs and workflows based on queries and designs from other team members, basic testing and troubleshooting, and transforming data to meet specifications. The work of a Software Application Engineer will focus on API architecture and development, particularly on Student Information System (SIS) platforms, as well as API documentation, or other similarly skilled areas. This position researches technological changes to determine the impact and integration with existing standards and architecture of applications. Assesses customer needs and develops technical solutions, especially as these solutions involve integration of multiple systems and applications. Employees should be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have skills in the following areas:

Technical Knowledge

● Understanding of RESTful API web services ● Understanding of how to test and manage APIs ● Understanding of relational databases ● Read and understand documented APIs ● Read and understand documented workflows.

Technical Solution Development

● Knowledge and ability to devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations. ● Ability to investigate, research and implement new technologies in specialty or related areas. ● Ability to transform data to specified XML schemas using XSLT

Technical Support

● Extensive knowledge to serve as a technical resource in solving problems of high complexity. 

Planning and Organizing

● Ability to set priorities and know when priorities need to be changed. ● Ability to work independently and manage jobs with minimal supervision. ● Able to adapt work to unanticipated changes. ● Ability to organize and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures.

Project Management

● Ability to establish working relationships with others and provide communication of activities. ● Ability to adhere to timelines and collaborate with others to achieve success.

Consultancy

● Ability to determine client needs and effectively communicate back to technical experts. ● Acts as technical resource to others within work specialty 

Education

● Associate’s degree in Computer Information Technology or Computer Programming, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role ● Equivalent experience is defined as direct experience in a work setting doing the following tasks:

• Transforming XML documents using XSLT
• Using a scripting language such as Javascript to control program flows
• Using tools to test and manage APIs

Salary Range- $75-$90k/ Annual
