We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team. As a Toddler Assistant Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of Toddler-aged children.
Duties
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Facilitate daily activities including arts and crafts, storytelling, music, and outdoor play.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students.
- Uphold health and safety standards within the classroom, including first aid protocols when necessary.
Skills
- Strong background in early childhood education or related fields.
- Experience in nannying, daycare settings, or babysitting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
- Proficiency in toddler care and infant care techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- First aid certification is a plus.
- A nurturing demeanor with the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere.
