Our Merchandisers are responsible for servicing the needs of the Sales and Marketing teams by building and merchandising displays in retail accounts, ensuring proper stock rotation, ensuring compliance of our Product Freshness and Quality Control Standards and performing additional duties as assigned.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Obtains daily work assignments from the appropriate Sales & Marketing Manager.
• Ensure compliance of N.K.S. Product Freshness and Quality Control Standards.
• Maintains point of sale items in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Build and merchandise displays in retail account.
• Ensure proper stock rotation in assigned accounts and notify appropriate personnel of potential freshness issues.
• Works under general supervision with a certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Maintains communications with appropriate management on a daily basis and to assist in the daily upkeep of the point-of-sale items in the warehouse.
• Expected to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Enforces and adheres to the N.K.S. employee handbook including strict compliance with all N.K.S. policies.
• Enforces and adheres to the AB-InBev Equity Agreement (Exhibit 9), including but not limited to Freshest Before/Code Date Policy and Retailer Trade Over-Age Removal Policy.
• Enforces and adheres to all other Supplier Partners standards and requirements.
• Enforces and adheres to all Delaware Alcoholic Beverage Control Commissioner (DABCC) rules and regulations.
• Ensure that all decisions and actions are consistently guided by and aligned with the N.K.S. Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or two or four years related experience.
• Beverage experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively and effectively with various types of people.
• Strong internal and external communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks and time to ensure completion of all daily projects.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Valid class D driver's license and driving record that meets with company guidelines.
• Must be 18 years of age.
  
  

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate using the English Language. The ability to read, prepare, analyze and interpret instructions for merchandise displays. Must be able to communicate information and respond to questions (verbally and in written form) effectively with customers, company personnel, and suppliers.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding, interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. The ability to recognize and solve customer problems that are related to their merchandise displays is required.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb (ladders) and bend for extensive periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to maneuver in high, low, and tight areas to set up displays and signage. The job requires the use of hands (to finger, handle, or feel) specifically for but not limited to unloading trucks. The employee must lift/and or move or push/pull up to 165 pounds as well as hang merchandise materials. Must be able to maneuver a full loaded two-wheel dolly effectively. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Hearing and speech are also required communication skills.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and typical of a warehouse environment. Exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, dusty conditions, outside weather conditions, including wet/and or humid conditions, and machinery with moving parts.
