Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer                                                          Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate who possesses strong CAD skills, excels in the preparation and review of construction documents, and is passionate about maintaining high-quality technical drawings across project teams. The successful candidate will have a background in landscape design and planting plans, construction detailing, detailed grading, and review of drawings. The candidate will have the ability to support projects from conceptual design through construction administration. This individual will play a key role in maintaining drawing quality, implementing company drafting standards, and ensuring technical excellence across all project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

·        Prepare, develop, and coordinate landscape architecture and design for a variety of project types.

·        Produce high-quality construction documents, details, specifications, and technical drawings.

·        Review project drawings and plans for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards.

·        Provide clear and thorough redline markups and quality control reviews.

·        Assist in teaching and maintaining company CAD and drawing standards across project teams.

·        Serve as an internal CAD resource, providing training, mentorship, and technical guidance to staff.

·        Assist in site planning, land planning, and landscape architectural design efforts.

·        Develop and review site grading plans, drainage concepts, and site layout plans.

·        Irrigation design is a plus.

·        Support entitlement applications and coordinate with local agencies throughout the approval process.

·        Collaborate with project managers, planners, engineers, and clients to deliver successful projects.

·        Participate in construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting site observations as needed.

·        Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals, schedules, and quality standards are achieved.

Required Qualifications

·        Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, or a related field.

·        Strong CAD proficiency with demonstrated experience preparing, coordinating, and reviewing construction documents.

·        Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD with demonstrated experience producing and reviewing construction documents.

·        Experience training, mentoring, and supporting staff in CAD best practices.

·        Strong understanding of construction documentation, detailing, and technical drafting standards.

·        Experience reviewing plans and providing quality-control redlines.

·        Knowledge of the land development and entitlement process a plus.

·        Experience with site grading, site layout and design, construction administration, and agency coordination/permitting.

·        Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

·        Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Professional Landscape Architect licensure or progress toward licensure.

·        Proficiency with GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Civil 3D, or related design software.

·        Experience working on mixed-use, commercial, residential, institutional, or public-sector projects.

·        Knowledge of development regulations, zoning, and planning principles.
