Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Office Cleaner to maintain a pristine, safe, and welcoming environment within our facilities. This role involves performing comprehensive cleaning tasks across office spaces, ensuring all areas are spotless, well-maintained, and adhere to health and safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and experience in commercial cleaning to support our team’s productivity and comfort.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning of office areas, including desks, conference rooms, restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
• Handle janitorial responsibilities such as trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and surface disinfecting to uphold cleanliness standards
• Operate floor buffers and other floor care machinery to maintain polished and safe flooring surfaces
• Manage chemical agent handling safely by following proper procedures for storage, usage, and disposal in compliance with safety regulations
• Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies or equipment while practicing safe lifting techniques to prevent injury
• Maintain custodial supplies inventory and notify management when stock needs replenishing
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs to ensure the facility remains in optimal condition
• Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to create a hazard-free environment for staff and visitors

Experience

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial or industrial setting is preferred
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, their safe handling, and proper disposal methods
• Experience operating floor buffers, carpet cleaners, or other specialized cleaning machinery is advantageous
• Background in facilities maintenance or porter roles demonstrates versatility in maintaining various aspects of building upkeep
• Knowledge of safe manual handling practices and heavy lifting procedures is essential for efficiency and safety
• Prior experience in industrial cleaning or residential painting can be beneficial for specialized tasks within the role
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols consistently
