Job Title: Operator I – Medical Device Manufacturing (MN Only)
Location: Minnetonka, MN (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract (W2)
Duration: 12-month contract (possible extension)
Job Summary:
The Operator I is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a controlled manufacturing environment. This role involves assembly, repair, and testing of components such as pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), and related devices. The position operates under close supervision, following standardized procedures and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Most roles require microscope-based assembly work.
Responsibilities:
· Perform assembly, repair, and testing of medical device components
· Follow written procedures and verbal instructions with precision
· Maintain accurate production and quality documentation (traveler records, traceability logs)
· Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory standards
· Communicate issues, ideas, and solutions effectively to team members and supervisors
· Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
· Handle small and delicate components with high attention to detail
· Use electronic data collection systems and basic computer applications
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety protocols
· Prioritize tasks based on production schedules and deadlines
· Support production goals and performance metrics
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum 7th-grade English reading and comprehension level (mandatory)
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Ability to work under close supervision in a regulated manufacturing environment
· Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
· Ability to follow strict procedures and documentation practices
· Comfortable working with microscopes for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in medical device or cleanroom manufacturing
· Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
· Prior experience with assembly, inspection, or small component handling
Salary: The hourly rate for this position is $18.75 per hour.
Benefits: This is a contract position and does not include employer-provided benefits.

· Time slots: 10:00 AM, 10:20 AM, 10:40 AM, 11:00 AM, 11:20 AM
· Candidates must be available during these times (no exceptions)
· Includes facility tour (strict dress code required)
Work Environment & Additional Requirements:
· Cleanroom / controlled production environment
· Frequent microscope use (~90% of roles)
· Overtime is currently frequent and expected (especially for Volt lines)
· Strict dress code compliance required for both interview and job (cleanroom standards, closed-toe shoes, no loose fibers, no jewelry, no makeup, etc.)
