Job Title: Operator I – 2nd Shift (MN Only)

Duration: 12-month contract
Job Summary:
The Operator I is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Working under close supervision, this role performs a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. The role follows standardized procedures, with work closely and continually reviewed to ensure quality and compliance.
Responsibilities:
· Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations on medical devices and related components
· Follow specified and standardized procedures to complete routine assignments
· Ensure job documentation for cell operations is accurate and up to date
· Maintain accurate records for traveler and quality documentation to ensure traceability
· Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions effectively (written and verbal)
· Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers (including tours)
· Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices during operations
· Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives
· Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory requirements
· Work with supervisors/managers to monitor individual and team performance metrics
· Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum 7th-grade reading and comprehension level (mandatory)
· Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions
· Basic ability to use electronic data collection systems and computer software
· Ability to prioritize work based on sequencing and importance
· Ability to handle and maneuver small components with precision
· Ability to make decisions with minimal supervision
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior experience in manufacturing or medical device assembly
· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles
· Experience working with microscopes or fine assembly work
Work Requirements:
· Microscope use required for approximately 90% of positions
· Overtime is frequent and strongly expected (especially on high-demand production lines)
· Candidates must be available for scheduled interview time slots without exceptions
Dress Code & Cleanroom Requirements:
· Non-shedding, clean clothing free of loose fibers, frays, or contamination required
· Loose-knit fabrics, fleece, sweaters, and similar garments are not permitted
· Clothing must fully cover torso, arms, and legs and fit under lab gown
· Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes required (heel height must not exceed 2 inches)
· No jewelry, makeup, nail polish, artificial nails, or scented products allowed
· Hair coverings must comply with gowning requirements
· Strict adherence to cleanroom and contamination control standards
Salary: The hourly rate for this position is $19.25 per hour.
