What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager - Restaurant position at Mythology Distillery?
Mythology Distillery is looking for a General Manager to lead hospitality at our Steamboat Springs Campus and our Mountainside Après bar and restaurant at the base of the resort. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves building teams, connecting with guests, and creating experiences people want to come back for.
As Mythology grows, our current General Manager has been promoted to a new role within the company. They will train and support the incoming General Manager, providing a smooth transition and a strong foundation for success.
The General Manager will oversee daily operations across both locations, lead the bar and kitchen managers, and hire, train, and develop a strong hospitality team. You’ll help shape the cocktail and food experience, lead events and programming, and work with Mythology’s leadership team to improve operations and grow the business. You may also provide occasional support to our Breckenridge tasting room.
We’re looking for a leader who is comfortable on the floor during a busy service, brings energy and creativity to guest experiences, and knows how to set clear expectations while supporting their team.
Experience managing a restaurant, bar, tasting room, or other hospitality business is strongly preferred.
Cocktail and spirits knowledge is a must.
Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required, particularly during Steamboat’s peak seasons.
Pay: $68,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
