DESCRIPTION
Big League Productions (BLP) seeks submissions for non-union Assistant Carpenter/Flyman for the upcoming 2026-2027 national touring production of MYSTIC PIZZA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This full-time, touring position will report to the Head Carpenter and Production Stage Manager while on the road. This position is responsible for assisting with advancing with venues, facilitating/managing all load-in’s and load-out’s, ensuring the performances run safely, assisting the touring crew, and assisting management of local crew in each city/venue. This position is also responsible for operating all necessary fly elements, ensuring fly elements run safely and accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BLP seeks strong team players, with the ability to work well under pressure. Attention to detail is also of utmost importance.
Strong communication skills.
Previous touring experience, while not required, is preferred.
A valid US driver's license is required.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull 100lbs, stand for extended periods of time (3 hours), navigate multiple levels of stairs.
TIMELINE:
The tour will play a mixture of one-week engagements, split-weeks, and one-night performances. The Tour will also have a few layoff weeks sprinkled throughout the itinerary.

Contract Begins: September 16, 2026 (Elmira, NY)
Tech/Previews: September 16-26, 2026 (Elmira, NY)
National Tour: September 26, 2026 – April 4, 2027
Additional bookings possible.
COMPENSATION:
Salary starts at $900 per week (increasing with experience).
Hotel and per diem provided on the road.
Layoffs are unpaid.
