MyStaff is partnering with a well-established Lincoln organization to hire a Senior Accountant for a newly created position designed with long-term growth in mind. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who wants to make an impact today while preparing for a future leadership role.
The organization is looking for someone who enjoys improving processes, partnering across departments, and helping guide the company through an upcoming ERP implementation. Over time, this role is expected to grow into an Assistant Controller position as part of a planned leadership succession.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities.
- Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial results.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Play a key role in the implementation of a new ERP system, including system testing, process mapping, and data validation.
- Partner with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial information.
- Assist with audit preparation and compliance requirements.
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience in a senior-level accounting role.
- Experience participating in an ERP or accounting software implementation.
- NetSuite experience is a plus, but experience with other ERP systems is equally valued.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- CPA is not required.
