Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Social Media Specialist to help market our e-commerce home decor/ plant business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies that enhance our brand presence, sell products, and engage/educate our audience across various platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube. This role requires a deep understanding of social media trends, product marketing, content creation, and analytics to drive engagement and growth. It will be helpful if you have knowledge or love of plants and home decor.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media marketing strategies to increase sales, brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create compelling content for various platforms including Youtube, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Utilize tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, and Adobe Creative Suite for scheduling, monitoring, and analyzing social media performance.
  • Conduct SEO and keyword research to optimize content for search engines.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and opportunities through social listening techniques.
  • Manage relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Analyze web analytics using Google Analytics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Create visually appealing graphics using Canva, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Produce video content as needed for various campaigns.
  • Proofread all content to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.

Skills

  • Proficient in social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, and Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent apps.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, and web analytics.
  • Experience in graphic design with skills in Canva, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or equivalent.
  • Excellent content creation skills with a focus on branding and storytelling.
  • Ability to conduct social listening effectively to gauge audience sentiment.
  • Proficient in photography and video editing for creating engaging visual content.
  • Exceptional proofreading skills with attention to detail.
