Responsibilities: The activities coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and directing recreational activities and special events for all ages, year-round, in a variety of locations within the campground. Directs the campground ministry and entertainment programs. The activities coordinator will be responsible for part-time activities staff and work closely with the aquatic supervisor and aquatics staff.
Requirements: The activities coordinator position requires an associate degree or a bachelor’s in recreation, tourism, Hospitality, physical education, or another closely related degree field. Two years of recreation or degree related experience is preferred. You must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Desired Skills and Abilities: The activities coordinator must have strong public speaking skills, the ability to effectively communicate in small and large groups and interact with guests of all ages. It is desired that the activities coordinator can work under limited supervision and initiative with the ability to solve problems and be willing to work a flexible schedule. Must have knowledge of safety issues.

Position: Activities Coordinator
Job Description: Full time position planning, managing, and directing daily park activities, facilities, and part time staff for guests of all ages, including but not limited to children, youth, adults, and seniors. This position would directly report to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Plan, implement, and direct recreational activities and special events for all age groups.
· Prepare and maintain areas for activities (seating, equipment, supplies etc.)
· Create activity schedules for distribution to the park guests and encourage guest
participation.
· Maintain evaluations of all activities as a log for future use.
· Maintain all activity bulletins located throughout the park.
· Responsible for entertainment programs.
· Responsible for maintaining campground ministry programs in conjunction with
coordinating summer day camps and concerts.
· Coordinate and implement community programs.
· Decorate the campground based on holidays themes and special events that
maybe taking place.
· Assist guests with services provided by Myrtle Beach Travel Park.
· Assist with any other campground duties as directed by Park Management.
· Manage a small staff consisting of high school and college age students.
Job Qualifications:
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in recreation, tourism, physical education, or
another closely related degree field
· A valid driver license.
· Reliable transportation to and from work
· Ability to effectively communicate written and verbally.
· Strong public relation skills
· Ability to direct and lead staff and guests in recreational activities.
· Ability to work with limited supervision, must have initiative and ability to solve
problems.
· Be a team player.
· Ability to work up to six days a week (approximately 48 hours) during peak tourism
season.
· Ability to work morning, mid, or night shifts as needed for activities.
· Ability to work outside for majority of the workday.
· Knowledge of safety issues: ability to conduct activities, special events, and
programs in a safe and appropriate manner.
· Must have administrative skills to operate office equipment. Knowledge of
publisher, excel, word, PowerPoint etc.
· Ability to purchase and maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies.
· Ability to lift fifty pounds.
