Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Client Services Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a busy veterinary practice. This role requires a love for animals and the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animal's health and care.
Duties
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
- Fill and sell prescription medications, pet food, and parasite control products
- Handle medical collections and process payments accurately.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Assist veterinarians with administrative tasks as needed, including preparing examination rooms.
- Provide information to clients regarding pet care, services offered, and veterinary terminology.
- Manage incoming calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to facilitate smooth operations within the clinic.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred, showcasing familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry, and handling techniques is essential.
- Experience with medical collection processes is advantageous.
- Skills in animal restraint, dog handling, and grooming are beneficial for assisting during appointments.
- Aseptic technique knowledge is a plus for maintaining hygiene standards within the clinic.
- Laboratory experience or familiarity with veterinary critical care practices is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with clients and team members.

Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
-Experience working at a veterinary hospital and/or as a receptionist is desirable but not required. Knowledge of Ezyvet veterinary management software very helpful.
-Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
-Compassion for pets and people alike as well as awareness of reciprocated reaction.
-Ability to lift up to 40lb
