Legal Domain Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Onsite | Mountain View, California
About the Project
We are seeking experienced Legal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to join an onsite AI research initiative in Mountain View, California.
As a Legal SME, you will work closely with Google's AI researchers and engineers to improve next-generation AI models by providing domain expertise, validating AI-generated outputs, reviewing domain-specific reasoning, and ensuring accuracy across specialized tasks.
This is a full-time onsite contractual engagement with an initial duration of 4–6 months, with the possibility of extension depending on project requirements and performance.

Candidates must be available to work onsite throughout the engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated legal content for accuracy and completeness.
- Validate domain terminology, concepts, calculations, and reasoning.
- Identify inconsistencies and provide expert feedback.
- Collaborate with engineers and AI researchers.
- Review datasets and improve AI model quality.
- Support testing and validation of AI-generated responses.
- Document findings and recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications
- JD, LLB, LLM, or equivalent.
- Licensed attorney preferred.
