Essential Functions
- Perform shop maintenance-related work as required
- Assist with inventory maintenance of repair parts and equipment
- Inspect tools and equipment to ensure that they are in working order
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate policies and OSHA standards
- Clean the shop and returns tools and equipment to proper locations
- Conduct safety inspection on Company equipment
- Perform all work in accordance within established safety procedures
- Assist senior technicians in the completion of assigned tasks and jobs
- Drive company vehicle to pick up and deliver parts
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
- Perform other assigned tasks
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- 1 years of experience in heavy equipment or auto repair is desirable
- Ability to acquire a class A driver’s license
- Must have insurable driving record
- Ability to use technology to accomplish assigned tasks
- Good mechanical skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
- Working knowledge of applicable safety procedures
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, reach, stand and move as needed
- Exposure to gasoline and other mechanical fluids
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Availability to work in early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
