About the Opportunity

MyPoint Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and self‑driven Senior PowerOn / Application Developer to join our technology team. At MyPoint, we are a member‑owned, mission‑driven credit union committed to empowering our communities through trusted financial solutions, service excellence, and innovation. Our culture values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement—where employees are encouraged to bring ideas forward and make a meaningful impact.

In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle design, development, enhancement, and support of Symitar PowerOn solutions that directly support our members and internal teams. You will play a key role in modernizing applications, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring reliable, scalable systems that align with our commitment to delivering an exceptional member experience.

This position is ideal for a senior‑level professional who thrives in a high‑trust environment and works independently with minimal day‑to‑day technical oversight. The successful candidate will excel at capturing business requirements, analyzing and refactoring existing PowerOn code, and developing innovative solutions that support MyPoint’s strategic goals and long‑term growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently analyze, design, develop, test, deploy, and support complex PowerOn programs supporting Symitar Episys core operations
  • Review, refactor, and modernize existing PowerOn code, improving performance, readability, maintainability, and reliability
  • Design and build new PowerOn solutions based on business and operational requirements, without predefined specifications
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies, technical debt, and opportunities for automation within existing or new PowerOn processes
  • Work directly with business users and operational teams to capture, clarify, and document requirements, translating them into technical PowerOn solutions
  • Evaluate downstream impacts of PowerOn changes across Symitar subsystems, reports, interfaces, and integrations
  • Recommend solution approaches, technical designs, and alternatives based on system capabilities and best practices
  • Create, modify, and support OpCon jobs related to PowerOn executions, file transfers, batch processes, and operational workflows
  • Troubleshoot scheduling failures, dependencies, and job sequencing issues across OpCon workflows
  • Partner with operations and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable end‑to‑end automation
  • Develop and support PowerOn solutions interacting with various Symitar modules including EMA, EAR, ELA, and other Symitar‑related applications
  • Understand data structures, files, and workflows across Symitar to support reporting and automation needs
  • Assist with Symitar upgrades, testing cycles, and post‑upgrade validation related to PowerOn and OpCon processes
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for PowerOn‑related production issues
  • Ensure PowerOn code adheres to internal standards, change control processes, and audit requirements
  • Develop clear technical documentation and operational instructions for supported PowerOn solutions
  • Adhere to all security, regulatory, and data‑handling requirements applicable to financial institutions
  • Maintain confidentiality of member, employee, and organizational data at all times
  • Support audit, risk, and compliance requests related to PowerOn logic, automation, and reporting

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Key Traits for Success:
To successfully fulfill the critical aspects of this position, a person must consistently demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Self‑starter who requires minimal direction
  • Strong problem‑solver with attention to detail
