Job Description

My Place Hotel in Huntersville, NC, is looking for a dependable, friendly, and hardworking Guest Service Representative to join our front desk team for the second shift.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent customer service, works well independently, and is willing to help wherever needed to keep the hotel running smoothly.

This is more than just a front desk position. Our team members play an important role in maintaining a clean, welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Guest Services

• Greet guests professionally and provide a welcoming check-in and check-out experience.

• Manage reservations, room assignments, payments, and guest requests.

• Answer phone calls, assist with inquiries, and provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions.

• Process guest payments accurately, including room charges, taxes, pet fees, and My Store purchases.

• Handle guest complaints professionally and work toward timely resolutions.

• Promote My Place loyalty benefits and provide excellent guest service.

Hotel Operations & Cleanliness

• Maintain a clean and organized lobby, front desk, coffee station, and common areas throughout the shift.

• Assist with hotel laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels as needed.

• Restock guest supplies, coffee station items, and My Store merchandise.

• Deliver towels, toiletries, and other requested items to guest rooms.

• Perform regular property walkthroughs to check cleanliness, safety, and security.

• Assist with light housekeeping tasks or room cleaning when necessary.

• Report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, or guest-related issues to management promptly.

Administrative & Shift Responsibilities

• Handle cash transactions, credit card payments, and payment authorizations accurately.

• Complete daily shift reports, logs, and required paperwork.

• Maintain accurate guest records and communicate important updates to the next shift.

• Follow all company procedures regarding guest privacy, security, and cash handling.

Qualifications

• Friendly, professional, and customer-service-oriented attitude.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.

• Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy periods.

• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn hotel reservation systems.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.

• Willingness to assist with laundry, cleaning, and other operational tasks when needed.

• Previous hotel or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Currently hiring for 3-4 shifts per week (approximately 24-32 hours).
