Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intensive Program Education Support Professional to join our education team. This role provides classroom, behavioral, and academic support to students requiring Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions within a highly structured and therapeutic learning environment. The Intensive Program Education Support Professional works under the direction of a Certified Special Education Teacher and Education Coordinator to promote student engagement, safety, and progress toward individualized goals. This position is ideal for someone passionate about special education, behavioral support, and making a meaningful impact in students’ daily lives. Key Responsibilities: Classroom & Student Support Provide instructional, behavioral, and daily living support based on classroom and student needs Assist with small group and individualized instruction to support student learning goals Support students during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal routines Promote active engagement and participation in classroom activities Ensure student safety through supervision and implementation of approved interventions Behavior & Therapeutic Support Implement individualized behavior support and therapeutic strategies as directed Demonstrate knowledge of student IEPs, safety plans, and behavioral goals Utilize de-escalation and intervention techniques in accordance with training Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral skill development Data Tracking & Documentation Collect and record academic and behavioral data Maintain accurate attendance and daily documentation Complete incident reports and communicate key information to appropriate staff Provide feedback on student progress when requested Program Support & Flexibility Provide coverage across classrooms based on daily staffing and student needs Adapt to changing schedules and priorities within the education department Support a structured, safe, and therapeutic learning environment Collaborate with teachers, therapists, case coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members Communicate effectively regarding student progress, needs, and concerns Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities Schedule Full-time, Monday – Friday 7:30/8am-3:30/4pm Schedule aligned with school calendar Summer session hours Flexible start and end times Comprehensive Employee Benefits Package At Genesee Lake School, a MyPath Company, we are committed to supporting our employees' well-being, financial security, and professional growth. Qualifications: Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred • Eligible for Wisconsin DPI Instructional Aide License Minimum of 1 year experience working with students with disabilities or behavioral challenges preferred Required Skills & Attributes: Ability to maintain a calm and effective demeanor in emergencies and stressful situations Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality care Ability to effectively implement approved physical intervention techniques Additional Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old. Must possess a valid Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record.
