Position
The IT Site Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization's IT systems at our Hawthorne facility. This role ensures reliable network connectivity, hardware and security compliance, and timely support for end-users. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled at troubleshooting IT issues across a complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage On-Site IT Operations: Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, networking devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Support Users: Provide timely technical support to employees, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Network Administration: Monitor and maintain local area network (LAN), wireless networks, and secure remote access.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure data protection, backup procedures, and compliance with IT security policies.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine system updates, patch management, and software installations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, incidents, and service requests; prepare regular reports on IT performance and issues.
- Application Support: Assist users with use of business applications used at Mynaric.
- Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with external vendors for hardware procurement, software licensing, and service contracts.
- Disaster Recovery Support: Assist with business continuity planning, ensuring minimal downtime in case of technical disruptions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in IT administration, preferably in a site-based or multi-site environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments, Active Directory, networking, and security protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud computing services (e.g., Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure) is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and organizational capacity.
