The Role:

This business development role demands a self-motivated and high-energy sales associate who thrives in a results-driven, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate excels in generating business leads, possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, and can clearly articulate our services to a potential client. This role requires someone with a positive attitude who is confident in generating business leads through multiple channels including cold-calling, online networking, and in-person events. This role will work directly with the leadership team to determine business development strategy and areas of priority for lead generation.


Responsibilities:

The range of tasks include:

  • Conduct lead generation, prospecting, and qualifying of leads
  • Proactively schedule calls with prospective clients via phone and email (including cold-calling)
  • Educate prospective clients on the value of our services and product offerings and communicate identified needs back to the leadership team
  • Utilize business acumen to perform research of companies, C-Level executives, and business trends that align with our objectives
  • Utilize competitive intelligence to create plans that align with strategic objectives
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure the right individuals are present to support a prospective client meeting
  • Coordinating and driving opportunities through our technology partnerships
  • Meet or exceed qualified lead/sales quota every quarter
  • Self Starter/self-motivated/self sufficient


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of related experience in sales
  • Proven track record of success in business development/sales
  • Ability to plan and prioritize daily tasks/responsibilities
  • Accustomed to challenging quota attainment and new client acquisition
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience utilizing HubSpot and other technologies to track prospect pipeline, run reports for management, etc.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


Preferred:

  • A background working in professional services and/or supporting risk management technologies
  • Experience selling privacy or cybersecurity services and privacy technology solutions
  • Knowledge of various industry and regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Ability to articulate value to C-Level Executives
  • Ability to Hunt and Farm client accounts
