MyMichigan Health has an excellent opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the established Trauma and General Surgery Team in Midland, Michigan!
- Full time, night shift
- 7 on/7 off schedule, 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
- 100% inpatient
- Coverage of surgical specialties throughout the hospital
- No outpatient calls
- Will work alongside another nighttime APP, for a team approach to patient care
- Respond to all Trauma activations
- Perform admissions/consults for the trauma, general surgery and urology service
- Perform admissions for the colorectal, thoracic and orthopedic surgery service as needed
- First call for inpatient surgical specialties nursing questions
- Bedside procedures including chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, laceration repair
- Co-management of ICU/critical care patients
- AHA approved BLS Certification
- AHA approved ACLS Certification
- ATLS Certification required prior to completion of orientation
- Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
- One year of experience with surgical specialties preferred, new grads will be considered
- Employment is contingent on successful completion of MyMichigan Health's credentialing process
