Duties
- Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices for infants and toddlers
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing personalized care
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards including first aid procedures
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and age-appropriate discipline strategies
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting or nannying roles is highly valued
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones and early childhood education principles
- Hands-on experience caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
- Familiarity with classroom experience or daycare operations is preferred
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively and foster a nurturing environment
- Experience in caregiving roles that involve teaching or supporting young children’s growth is advantageous
